While that workaround works, I'd prefer to just have the archived release page work. This is the supposed link to the 
archive: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/embedded/embedded-se/downloads/ssLINK/2406243, but it 404's for me. I've
 asked Brad to reach out to Oracle and see if we can get that link fixed.

Here's a procedure that should get the old version, at least until oracle stops hosting it:

In a browser, go to http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/embedded/embedded-se/downloads/index.html and download ejdk-
8u33-fcs-linux-arm-sflt.tar.gz. This makes sure all the right cookies and logins are set up.
Then go to the following link to download the old version: http://download.oracle.com/otn/java/ejdk/8u6-b23/ejdk-8u6-fcs
-b23-linux-arm-vfp-sflt-12_jun_2014.tar.gz
