How to select match defenses in OffSeason 2016   
Hi,

Thanks for getting the 2016 OffSeason FMS out so quickly.  It'll be a huge help for summer events.

I installed it and have been playing around and ran into a fairly significant issue: How do you select match defenses?

There's no DC station, and the Defenses tab in FMS is view-only.  Every time you try to prestart, it flags that the 
defenses haven't been selected.

I searched through all the docs and can't find any reference to a way to select the defenses other than through the (non
-existent) DC station.

Any suggestions?

Ah, I figured out that you have to click through the warning at prestart and then can edit the defenses.  At least 
that's something.

Two comments:
- The warning is annoying since it shows up for every match.  There should be some way to disable it in OffSeason since 
there's no DC.  On the other hand, if I could get the DC application, that would be awesome.
- If you do audience selection before Match 1, the audience defense doesn't show up as preselected for Match 1, you have
 to select it manually.  It does show up automatically for Match 2.  Minor bug.

Hi,
These aren't actually bugs- please see Section 8 of the User's Manual for information on Defense Selection. That course 
will walk you through how it works. You can ignore the "known issues" section within the DC training, all those things 
have been resolved.
Regarding your match 1 note, if you've already pre-started, then the audience pick won't get filled in. If you select it
 before pre-start, it will.
As you've noted, you can only edit defenses in FMS after pre-start (because before pre-start, the DC has control of the 
match. We have to wait so both don't edit at the same time).

I played with the DC page a bit and have a few notes:

* The DC endpoint came up, but I had to modify the URL from the documentation to add the OffSeason IIS port.  The URL 
that works for me is: http://10.0.100.5:8085/DefenseSelection
* The page still only works correctly in Firefox (which I don't normally install).
* The print button doesn't work and fails with the message, "Could not impersonate the elevated user.  LogonUser 
returned error code 1326".  Running Firefox as admin doesn't help.

On a related topic:
* If your off season event has a small number of teams, you could be doing Audience defense selection every other match.
  A suggestion would be to batch a few audience selections together so you don't have to break so often.  This is really
 easy to do in FMS.

Hi again,

Regarding the DC Endpoint, as you've noted (and as outlined in the addendum manual section 2.4), if the install is done 
on a port other than standard (80), you have to specify the port when you use the website. The default for the OffSeason
 is 8085 (since some people have their own stuff on 80.

It works in the other browsers, but the highlighting/overlays/etc only work in Firefox. This is covered in DC training 
session 2, but yes, Firefox is the best choice.

The print button won't work when you're not on an official field. Without the FMS server, it doesn't know where to print
. Just use the View button and then you can print like a standard PDF.

I didn't see a reference in the DC docs for a stock number or source for the special perforated paper.  Do you have that
 information so I could order some for my event?

If you need/want the perforated paper for the DC station during the offseason this is where we ordered it.
