Re: Audience Display via Network
Hi Brandon,
FMS and the Audience Display are a bundled infrastructure- they aren't build to be "hooked into" or to
make data available outside of it's environment. The 2015 version offers two output options, depending
on the server you are using (official fields) or machine output capabilities (personal computers). Currently,
1024x768 and 1280x1024 are available. In 2016, an additional option of 1920x1280 will be available. I can't \
speak to the exact system you're referring to, since I don't know which truck or area you are in, but many
of our systems are tailored to the output types of the specific regions request. If you want additional
information regarding a specific system or output, please email us directly.
The "sandbox" which we offer to developers to test and implement their own ideas is our public API, which
you can read about here:
https://usfirst.collab.net/sf/projects/first_community_developers/
This data will be available at all 2016 events, as long as internet remains avaialble, but the avaialbility
of data at 2016 off-season events is unknown at this time.
In order to avoid inadvertently intercepting or manipulating critical communications between the FMS
components (FMS and Audience Display, web server, etc), we advise against installing parallel programs
unless specifically provided, and tested, by FIRST.
If there's a specific use-case or additional questions you're interested in, you're more than welcome to
contact us directly via email, or submit feature requests through this website.
